OWLS April meeting to feature Peg Bobel

On April 13 our OWLS meeting will feature a visit from Peg Bobel, co-author of Canal Fever, a book about the Ohio and Erie Canals detailing the creation of the canal and its importance to Ohio’s early growth; the canal’s decline, and finally the relatively recent rediscovery of this old transportation system and transformation into a popular recreational resource.

Join us for lunch at 11:30 AM followed by this informative interview! Don't miss it!

Our last meeting before taking a summer break will be May 11 - our annual OWLS picnic.

All are welcome at OWLS meetings. The meal and event are free. OWLS meet at the John Torok Senior Center located at 4224 Massillon Rd, North Canton, OH 44720. Meetings begin at 11:30 AM with lunch and usually wrap up around 1 pm.

O.W.L.S stands for Older, Wiser, Learning, Seniors.
