Join us to hear a presetnation on the progress of Blessing in a Backpack and the Primary School Reading Buddies Program at Green Local Schools. Both Blessings in a Backpack and the Reading Buddies Program are partners Harmony Springs supports financially and with volunteers throughout the year. Volunteers pack backpacks full of food for Green schools children who would otherwise go hungry over the weekends and volunteer weekly to help read to and with children at Green Primary School.
The director of the Blessings program, Jennifer Doerr, will be with us to speak about the progress and share about the mission and its work as well as the Green Primary School Counselor who coordinates the reading buddies progam.
OWLS are encouraged to bring a donation of either food items for the backpacks program or to make a financial donation during church in the weeks prior for books (Debbie MacDonald is coordinating).
